Who we are

FL Responder Benefits is a free screening tool operated by Mission 360, a nonprofit. We help Florida first responders and their families find benefits they may be eligible for. Using the screener requires no account and collects no personal information. Personal information is only collected if you choose to submit the optional follow-up form.

What we collect

We collect two categories of information:

  1. Anonymous usage data — pages viewed, screener questions answered (as anonymous answers, never tied to your name), and which benefits matched. This is linked to a randomly generated session ID, not to you personally.
  2. Contact information (optional) — only if you fill out the follow-up form: your name, email address, and phone number, along with your explicit consent. You can use the entire tool without ever providing this.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Email you your results and action plan (if you requested it).
  • Follow up to help you understand and pursue the benefits you may be eligible for.
  • Measure our impact in aggregate, de-identified form (for example: “X families were connected to PSOB information this year”) to support grant funding and improve the tool.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

When we share information

We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — companies that help us operate (email delivery, website hosting, analytics). They are bound by confidentiality agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
  • Funders and grant reports — aggregate, non-identifying statistics only (e.g., number of families served, categories of benefits matched). No names, emails, or phone numbers are shared.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.

Your choices and rights

  • You can use the full screener and download your results without providing any personal information.
  • You can request a copy of your personal information or ask us to delete it by emailing info@mission360.org.
  • You can opt out of follow-up emails by replying “unsubscribe” to any message we send.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed to help you claim benefits and to produce aggregate impact reports. We do not retain records indefinitely — when a case is resolved or a reasonable follow-up period has passed, we delete identifiable information.

Mission 360 is a private nonprofit, not a government agency. We are not affiliated with Florida, the VA, or any federal program. Nothing on this site is legal or financial advice. Benefit descriptions are informational estimates — always verify eligibility with the administering agency.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the tool after changes means you accept the revised policy.
